31 Days to Becoming Less Stressed, More Refreshed. Day 14: Think Positively

Clouds-Think_positively

Keeping our minds positive is a challenge in this world. Bad news and drama fills our lives daily, and it takes work to think positively.

If we allow bad thoughts to reside in our minds,
we will definitely feel stressed,
and we will have a hard time moving forward.

Our lives are a mixture of good and bad. We choose what consumes our minds – the good or the bad.

The Bible exhorts us well on the topic.

“…whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”
Philippians 4:8

It takes a conscious, proactive effort to think about the things that are noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report, of good virtue, and praiseworthy.

We aren’t just to think about these things casually. The Bible encourages us to MEDITATE on them. When I think of meditating about something, I think about having my mind DWELL upon a topic.

Is your mind concentrated on goodness throughout the day? Negative thinking weighs us down and causes stress!

If we want to be less stressed,
we must walk away from negativity
and pursue positive, energizing thoughts!

Take Action: Force yourself to get rid of the junk in your thought life today and dwell upon the good things around you.
